Chordn HSR series smoke detector can accurately detect smoke. If the smoke concentration exceeds the alarm threshold, the detector will start to alarm and output dry contact signal to the controller through the input module or access to PLC programming control. When the smoke concentration exceeds the threshold, an alarm is generated with a built-in buzzer with high decibel sound and a visible red indicator. The controller needs to be reset manually to clear the alarm back to the power off state after the controller and module responding to the alarm signal.
Smoke detectors are particularly useful in those situations where the fire is likely to generate a large amount of smoke but no smoke under normal situation, such as restaurants, hotels, teaching buildings, office buildings, computer rooms, communications machine rooms, archives, power distribution cabinets and other industrial and civil buildings. However it is not suitable for places with a large number of dust and water mist, or to places where steam and oil mist may be produced, or where smoke is normally trapped.
