Phase angle dimmer is a kind of power supply controller based on the anti- parallel thyristor (SCR) and achieves phase shift control through intelligent digital control circuit. The output switching point in the sine wave depends on the control input, which can be 4-20mA or 0-10VDC/0-5VDC. 4mA or 0VDC corresponds to zero output power while 20mA or 10VDC corresponds to full output power (near linear power).
The relay switches off every time the output current crosses zero, and switches ON in accordance with the applied control input.
