Our power protection products are designed to protect circuit against overload and short circuit, also available for protection of semiconductor parts, equipment and motors against short circuit. All fuses are made of sterling silver and the die-cut element is filled with quartz sand, which helps control the arc, reducing I²t and increasing the breaking capacity. All contact surfaces are silver plated and all hardware is non-magnetic.
Fuses are in the form of series in circuit. When occurs short circuit or overload, its metal filaments or sheets, which are made of a special metal, will generate a lot of heat as a result of large current passing through it, causing the temperature of the metal filament or sheet to rise sharply. Once the temperature reaches the melting point, the metal filaments or sheets will break apart, so that the electrical power will be cut off correspondingly protecting the circuit or the machine.
